We were thrilled to have Channel 7 come into our office to interview our client Michelle regarding the importance of receiving age care advice from her experience.
You may be aware the Government released the final report from the Aged Care Taskforce, which contained 23 recommendations to reform the fees and funding across home care and residential aged care. This group examined how to ensure that aged care remains financially sustainable. The main question being, who should bear the costs: the individuals receiving care or the Government. While we now understand the Taskforce’s views, the Government’s stance remains a mystery. We eagerly await the Federal Budget, which will shed light on any proposed changes.
One thing is clear: aged care advice is crucial, and financial planners play a vital role, as emphasised in the Taskforce report.
